Mylong

August 2022 ~ November 2022

Project Status: paused

Project Type: personal

Project Duration: 3 months

Software Used: Unity, Blender, and Photoshop

Languages Used: C#

Primary Role(s): design / art / coding

I studied Unity Universal Render Pipeline, the high quality and well optimized graphic performace render pipeline in Unity, and Blender, a 3D modeling tool. Learning Unreal Engine made me want to explore Unity a little bit more as my computer was not fast enough to run Unreal Engine smoothly.

Mylong is an open world adventure game that I am not actively developing anymore. The game is about the main character Mylo who goes on an adventure on a mysterious island. I designed and modeled Mylo and its weapons and items. Above is a test scene where I exported the game into a mobile platform. The game was performant but also efficient.

Resource development in Mylong was time consuming as I was a solo developer. Modeling took days, illustration took days, and programming took days, and so on. I wanted to keep this project until I found a team and hope to finish it with higher quality.
